| Harvard Lions: We Serve |
 |
| Whenever a Lions club
gets together, problems get smaller, and
communities get better. That's because we help
where help is needed – in our own communities
and around the world – with unmatched integrity
and energy. |

IIn addition to supporting local
community needs and programs, the Harvard Lions like all Lions
clubs around the world is focused on serving the blind and
visually impaired, as well as those suffering from hearing
impairment and diabetes. Here are some of the organizations
which we regularly support each year…
-
Lions Club International Sight First Foundation…a worldwide
blindness prevention program that aims to eliminate preventable
and reversible blindness
-
Massachusetts Lion Eye Research Fund
-
Clara Barton Diabetes Camp for girls
-
Joslin Diabetes Camp for Boys
-
‘Assistance Dogs for the Deaf and Disabled’ (including ‘Canines
for Combat Veterans’ and ‘Canines for Disabled Kids’)
-
Lions ‘Sight and Hearing Fund’…which provides financial
assistance to families and schools for new equipment
-
‘Audio Journal’ for the visually impaired
-
Lions Eyeglass Recycling Program
