2011 Harvard Fall Festival Most Successful Ever

The 2011 Harvard Fall Festival was our most successful to date
in terms of attendance, money raised to help fund Lions charities and support local community programs and the great time had by all who participated.

The Harvard Lions would like to thank everyone who attended and supported this event.  The real gratitude will come from those who we’re able to help because of your generosity: The blind/visually impaired requiring special services… disabled children who require the use of trained ‘assistance dogs’… young adolescents with type I diabetes who will be able to attend camp…families who can’t afford costly hearing or vision aids for their children…local school students who benefit from the vision screening equipment or require the special classroom hearing equipment we help provide… etc….etc.  That’s what this event is all about and everyone who supported it by attending, sponsoring or donating their time or equipment has helped to make a difference in the lives of these individuals and so many others.

We’ll soon be planning the 2012 event so stay tuned.

Harvard Lions Membership is on the Rise!

The Harvard LIons continue to add new members and now stand at 55 - men and women of all ages and backgrounds who wanted to join a club whose mission is to serve those in need and support local community programs as well as to provide plenty of opportunities for socializing and having fun.   Many of these new members worked as volunteers at our Fall Festival and came to experience first-hand what the Harvard Lions are all about and the opportunities to meet new friends and get away from the normal routine.  While we’re now becoming a sizable organization, we maintain the small club ‘feeling’ and culture.

If you think the Harvard Lions might help fill a need in your life we invite you to join us as our guest at one of our regular dinner meetings to check us out.  Since we’re just beginning our planning for the 2012 Fall Festival this would be a great time to join and get involved.

Harvard Lions to Donate $50,000 in Fiscal Year 2011-2012

Because of the success of our recent Fall Festival and other fund raisers, the Harvard Lions will once again be able to donate $50,000 to support Lions charities as well as needs within our local Harvard community.  Please see the section of this website labeled ‘WE SERVE’ for examples of both Lions charities and local needs supported by the Harvard Lions club.
