Fruit Sale

In early March each year you can see Harvard Lions around town holding their `Citrus Fruit Sale’ featuring sweet Valencia oranges (perfect for delicious vitamin C juice or sliced healthy snacks) and Royal Ruby Red grapefruit (with a flavor reminiscent of refreshing red grapes and sweet nectarines). The fruit is shipped direct from Florida and picked just a few days before delivery to Harvard. Once here it is maintained at Carlson’s Orchard refrigerated lockers so that it remains fresh.

Both products are available in 20 lb and 40 lb boxes. You can also purchase a ‘mixed’ 20 lb box. The fruit is sold on a “cash and carry” basis so there is no need to place your order and then wait for delivery. Selling stations are set up both at the Transfer Station and Harvard Town Center.

As with all Harvard Lion fund raising events, 100% of the proceeds are used to benefit the many charities and community programs (make this a live link to the ‘WE SERVE’ tab) we support.
