The Harvard Lions Club is a lions club
in District 33a. Based out
of Harvard, Massachusetts we are a part
of Lions
International, the largest non-profit international organization
in the world with clubs in over 180 countries.
We focus our efforts in service to the community. Our Harvard, Massachusetts local projects include food sales at the Harvard Apple Blossom Festival, the Fourth of July Celebration, the League of Women Voters Flea Market, the Annual Lions Fall Craft Fair and our annual Fruit Sale. All the funds we raise go right back out to the people we serve. We volunteer our time and energy to support the Adopt a Road Clean-up, the Harvard Recycling Station and support Harvard, MA soccer and other youth programs. The Harvard Lions were instrumental in the development of the Harvard Athletic Association. We provide eye and hearing services to the community, including many children, and support the Sight and Hearing Foundation at the state level. We are a major contributor to the Clara Barton Camp in Oxford MA for children with diabetes and other disabilities. Finally, we like to enjoy ourselves during our bi-monthly dinner meetings. Next meeting will be at the Scupper Jack's in Acton, MA see map. We discuss new projects, relevant business and listen to informative lectures by guest speakers from around the state. We are a team oriented group getting its satisfaction from seeing a project completed, knowing we make a difference and are helping people in need.. |
